A bull kelp root ball found on the beach was the inspiration for this pendant, one of a series I made with the help of digital technology. It stems from a selected photo of a detailed section of the plant, and then through a long process, using a 3D printer to get a plastic model, and then molds to cast a wax, a final silver piece emerged. The mirrored image evokes the Pariedolia effect and in the way Rorschach Ink Blots inspire subconscious readings, looking at it can reveal interesting things about yourself. Hand modeled deer antlers emerge from the surface to help guide the direction of your experience.
